    If you are on our Auto-Fill or budget programs, you may want to consider making some changes to your account so you can control if your tank is filled prior to your move. We can also check your account to see if you have any remaining balances that need to be settled prior to the sale.
  • What happens to the fuel in the tank?
    Some home sellers will utilize the fuel in the tank as part of the negotiation process. The fuel can also be included as an asset in the purchase agreement. We can help determine the value of the propane in the tank if you are including it in the sale of the home.
  • Who owns the tank?
    In most cases the tank is leased and the seller of the home is not the owner of the tank. If you do own your tank, ownership documentation and service records will need to be included when the home changes hands. We can help you determine which of these scenarios applies to you and answer any related questions.
  • Having your propane system checked/inspected and certified
    Providing ‘a clean bill of health’ for your propane system can add value and be a major selling point. It also provides you and the buyer with peace of mind that the system is safe and functioning properly as the ownership transition occurs.
  • Your tank’s visual appearance
    To help you make the sale, Crystal Flash can improve the condition of your tank by cleaning or re-painting it, if needed. Tank painting is subject to weather conditions and available April through October, please allow at least two weeks turnaround time once you’ve submitted a request.
  • Providing your usage and billing history
    Potential buyers will likely want to know what kind of bills they will be looking at if they purchase your home. We can help by providing recent usage and billing amounts, upon request.
  • Helping out the new owner 
    It’s possible that the buyer is unfamiliar with using propane. Many home sellers enjoy helping the buyer make a smooth transition into the home to ensure there is no interruption in service.
