Meet Our Team: Franki Donze
Franki Donze joined the Crystal Flash team during the summer of 2022. In her role as an Account Representative in CF’s Customer Service Department, Franki is responsible for working with both Commercial/Ag customers and Residential customers.
“I genuinely enjoy working at CF day in and out. The variety of customers and situations that I encounter make every day feel like a new challenge. I never truly know what the day will bring,” Franki shared. Being able to help customers during power outages is one of the most fulfilling aspects of her work, “During storms and outages, we have a lot of customers who need to have generators filled. As you would expect, we have individual homeowners, but also businesses that use generators to keep cell phone towers running or keep their retail stores open. It’s always amazing to me how we come together as a team — from the initial phone call, to dispatch, right down to the drivers getting fuel to the customers. We do everything we can to make sure they are taken care of when they need us most,” she added.
When asked how her work at Crystal Flash compares with other prior experiences, Franki shared, “I worked at a big corporate telecommunications firm for almost 10 years and just never felt quite right. Crystal Flash is family-oriented, both in and out of work. It is so refreshing to work for a company that understands people and how important family time is as well. It is amazing how supportive everyone is and how leadership is always willing to help me excel and improve. I truly am excited to come to work each day!”
When Franki mentions “CF and family” it’s not just a cliché. When we visited with her for this profile, she mentioned that her grandfather, Quinten “Ray” Nichols, formerly worked as a mechanic for Crystal Flash, retiring from the company in the early 2000s. “When the opportunity to work here presented itself, I thought it would be fun and meaningful; working at the same place where my grandpa also worked,” she beamed.
Franki resides in Grand Rapids and has two children. Her daughter, Kaydance, is a high school senior who will graduate in the spring from Interlochen Arts Academy. Franki’s son, Kandyn, is a fourth grader who enjoys soccer and video games, especially Fortnite. The family also has a beloved dog named Krash. Some of their favorite family activities include watching movies and going on road trips.
