Crystal Flash Is On The Move

2014 was a busy year. We began with one of the coldest winters in the history of our company. The brutal winter set the pace for the entire year, which has been one of the busiest in our history.

For the past 12 months, our team has lived and breathed the mantra “Bring It On.” Any challenge that came our way, we said, “Yes, we can do that.” Why? Because we are here to provide exceptional service to you – our customer.

In addition to acquiring two companies and welcoming them into the Crystal Flash family, we hired 72 new team members, saw tremendous growth in our residential and commercial accounts and implemented new systems and processes – including this website – to better serve you.

Most recently, John Ertle joined the Crystal Flash team as our Vice President of Supply. John brings extensive industry knowledge as well as operations savvy to his new role. We are so pleased that he has joined our team and look forward to his positive contributions.

In 2015, we will take another huge step and begin our next chapter as a company with new leadership. In June, Crystal Flash President Tom Fehsenfeld and CEO Dave Scigliano will step down from their leadership positions and retire. Tom’s family began our company in 1932 with just one truck and a rented fuel storage facility. Since then, the Fehsenfeld family has guided Crystal Flash to become one of the largest energy distributors in the Midwest. As a 26-year veteran of Crystal Flash, Dave has been around for much of this growth. Since joining the company, Dave has held positions of increasing leadership before stepping into the role of CEO last April.

Although we are sad to see Tom and Dave leave, their exceptional leadership has put Crystal Flash in a great position for growth.  We have already begun the search for new leaders to guide our continued expansion. To aid us in this, we have created a presidential search page that includes information on the role as well as links to area resources.

We thank Tom and Dave for their extraordinary commitment and dedication to the company and will be sure to tap into their incredible knowledge in the coming months.  We look forward to having a new leader at the helm of Crystal Flash to keep us on the move.
