CFE and Silent Observer speak out against violence
Effective August 08, 2012; Crystal Flash Energy is proud to sponsor the Rock the Mic: Artists Against Violence competition.
The "Americal Idol" style competition is presented by Silent Observer, local law enforcement, and local business to spread an anti-violence message amoung young people.
Chris Cameron, Executive Director of Silent Observer stated, "Silent Observer launched this project knowing that there was no better way to get an anti-violence message across to young people then to provide young people the opportunity to share that important message with their peers. We are so appreciative of your $500 donation to make this happen. We could not have done this without you." He went on to say, "We are appreciative of [all the contestants] willingness to speak out against crime and our hope is that these top 10 finalists will influence a positive change of ideas among the youth in our community."
The final competition was held on July 24, 1012 and 19 year-old singer/songwriter Annie Wildgen, a student at Grand Valley State University, won the grand prize of $750 and studio time to professionally record her music.For more information about the announcement, please read the entire press release.
