How It Works…

•  Crystal Flash Energy estimates your fuel usage for the upcoming year based on your fuel usage over the past year.
• The cost for that estimated fuel use is then divided over 10 months (to be paid from July through April).
• The remaining two months (May and June) are settlement months.
If you use more fuel than was originally estimated, your May and June bills will include the additional usage. If you use less fuel than we estimated, the excess amount will carry over to the next heating season.
• Crystal Flash Energy re-evaluates your actual fuel usage midway through the budget season. If necessary, your budget payment is adjusted to reflect any variation in your actual usage. This helps keep the seasonal ups and downs of energy use from hitting you too hard in the pocketbook at the end ofthe season.
