Crystal Flash Hosts Customer Appreciation Open House

Energy Distributor Teams Up with Missaukee Humane Society

Cadillac, Michigan, June 2, 2015 – Crystal Flash, one of Michigan’s largest energy distributors, will host a customer appreciation open house at its Cadillac office on Friday, June 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The community is invited to stop in for lunch as Crystal Flash teams up with the Missaukee Humane Society to collect items the shelter needs. As an added incentive, those who bring an item from the needs list will receive a certificate for one free propane tank fill-up for the grill.

“Giving back to the communities we serve is woven into our company culture,” said Marianne Berry, Crystal Flash Cadillac manager. “We wanted to give the community an opportunity to stop by, have some lunch and give back.”

The Crystal Flash team will grill during the open house for lunch.

Items of need include:

  • Dog food (Pedigree or Retriever Bites & Bones)
  • Cat food (Purina Cat Chow, 9Lives or 4Health products)
  • Kitten chow
  • Litter that can be scooped
  • Dog and cat treats
  • Dog/puppy shampoo
  • Leashes and collars
  • Towels
  • Blankets
  • Laundry detergent
  • Totes

“We are excited to team up with the great people at Crystal Flash for this event,” said Kyle Mussulmen, shelter director at the Missaukee Humane Society. “Donations received will help feed and care for the many homeless animals that rely on us every day.

“We thank Crystal Flash for stepping up to help us with our mission, and we thank our very generous community for their support.”

Established in 1989 and fully funded by the community, the Missaukee Humane Society serves as the only animal shelter in the county. Prior to adoption, all animals are spayed or neutered, tested for heartworm or feline leukemia tested, and fitted with a microchip for identification purposes. In addition, all animals are started on vaccinations and given flea and heartworm prevention medication.

“We are thrilled to help out the Missaukee Humane Society,” Berry said. “Many of us have four-legged friends, so this organization near and dear to our hearts.

As a Michigan-based energy distribution company, Crystal Flash has a long tradition of community engagement, supporting nonprofits that help advance rural life, provide family assistance and aid in cancer research.
